Neuromuscular Bandage
Neuromuscular taping is also known as kinesiotaping, neuromyofascial taping or medical taping. The technique of neuromuscular taping was originally developed in Japan and Korea in the late 1970s by Doctors Kenzo and Murai. They based their work on principles of kinesiology and chiropractic to treat muscle, lymphatic and fascial complaints. However, the techniques are continually revised and improved both in Europe and the USA. It arrived in the USA in 1995 and in Europe in the late 1990s (Germany and Holland), introduced by Alfred Nihuis, a footballer. Neuromuscular taping in neurological conditions is a very useful treatment tool with very good results.
Neuromuscular taping uses an elastic adhesive tape that influences the maintenance of the balance of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and nervous system. It optimizes lymphatic and blood circulation to restore the body's own capacity to "promote well-being." Therefore, neuromuscular taping helps our body to activate its own regeneration process without altering mobility and facilitating circulation. It is therefore a completely natural method and compatible with any other therapy.
